Sajan is a CFA charter holder and a member of ICIFA with over 6 years of experience in the corporate finance and investment industry. He started his career as a corporate and project finance professional at Grant Thornton in 2015 at a time when the corporate finance division was first being set up in Kenya. Before joining BDO, Sajan was employed at the Facility for Energy Inclusion (FEI) – a private debt fund managed by Lion’s Head Global Partners and funded by global DFIs with the primary focus on small to medium scale renewable energy projects across Sub-Saharan Africa.

At BDO, Sajan’s primary role is to originate and execute capital raising mandates and assist in transaction advisory services. He is experienced and skilled in financial modelling, preparation of investment decks, assisting in capital structuring, sourcing for potential investors and liaising between all stakeholders within the mergers and acquisition field. Additionally, he assists with independent business reviews and financial due diligence exercises for the purpose of providing sound investment decisions to potential investors.

Sajan has had experience across a wide range of economic sectors including agribusiness, banking, logistics, FMCG, manufacturing industries, pharmaceuticals, real estate, and infrastructure projects with extensive experience in the renewable energy space.
