Getinet is currently the Director of Advisory services at BDO Consulting PLC (BDO in Ethiopia). He has over 25 years of professional experience in Corporate Finance, Tax, Financial Audit, Corporate Restructuring, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Raising of funds.He has significant advisory experience in several areas of Construction, Real Estate, Manufacturing and Audit Services.
Getinet previously served in two of the largest real estate companies in Ethiopia: Habesha Real Estate and Gift Real Estate. He also served as a Finance Manager at MIDROC, the largest private enterprise conglomerate in Ethiopia with business portfolio in several sectors of Agriculture, manufacturing and gold mining.
Getinet holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and an MBA, both from Addis Ababa University.
